A duration of 8 years (1982-1990) was planned for this project, which included a hospital extension and modification/addition to an existing hospital with additional medical facilities. The modification work had to be well-planned so as not to jeopardise the existing hospital's daily operation. Proper planning and coordination were exercised to achieve this aim. The project was finally completed on time by the end of 1989 within the planned construction time of 3 years and 8 months and within the estimated cost.
