The Hong Kong Film Archive, located in Sai Wan Ho, spans a total floor area of 7,200 square metres. The main archive building is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and exhibition of Hong Kong-produced films. It includes specialised facilities such as film collection vaults, a mini-cinema, an exhibition hall, a resource centre, and restoration laboratories.
Adjacent to it, the Island East Sports Centre complements the archive by offering a variety of recreational amenities for the local community. These include a multi-purpose arena, indoor sport climbing walls, dance and activity rooms, a table tennis room, indoor golf rooms, fitness room, children’s playground, indoor bowling green, and indoor swimming pools (including a training pool, leisure pool, and paddling pool). The complex also provides essential facilities such as toilets and changing rooms.
