The project involves the comprehensive renovation of Kwai Chung Crematorium, which has been in operation since 2003. With the existing cremators reaching the end of their service life, the scope includes the removal and replacement of four cremators, reconfiguration of two service halls and refurbishment of function rooms, building façade, canopy, and external circulation areas to improve visitor flow. Additional provisions include air-conditioned temporary coffin holding spaces, re-provisioning of building services, and enhancements to the general office and reception area. The 41,800m² site is being redeveloped under this contract, with works scheduled to be completed for 2027.
