Kam Tai Shopping Centre is a neighborhood shopping mall located at Ma On Shan. The shopping centre spans seven floors. A multi-functional structure containing retail outlets, a bus terminus, community facilities, car parking, and service a government public housing scheme. In an attempt to contrast itself from the rigid form of government housing blocks, thus the design adopted a contemporary idiom in that shapes, lines, and colours are all contrived to be "different".
